As the Daughters of the King national crusade was being closed on Sunday, It was all joy when a couple was being received as new members of the Mposa Anglican.
Receiving the couple on behalf of the parish Rev. Captain Mphatso Bango thanked the couple for responding to the gospel so fast. He also asked members of the Anglican Church in this parish to associate with this couple and asked them to support them so that they may feel at home.
This is the immediate impact of the national daughter of the King national Crusade which was officially opened on Friday the 9th of June, 2017 by the Bishop of the Diocese of Upper Shire Bishop Brighton Vitta Malasa who encouraged all participants to this crusade to take this event very serious and should go out and preach the Gospel to the masses.
The crusade which runs till Sunday, had a number of events which included preaching, prayers and also door to door evangelism and the theme was “Behold! I stand at the door” Rev. 3:20.
As the crusade was being concluded all speakers shared sentiments by asking the members of the Daughters of the King to go to their respective parishes with changed mind and proclaim the gospel. They were asked to be exemplary to others so that people out there should really appreciate that they were at the crusade.
Finally before the presentation of the gifts, the National President Mrs. Ireen Chirwa thanked the parish executive, members of the mothers Union at the Parish and also the Diocesan Bishop for their support towards the success of this crusade.
